Event Aftermovie in 24 Hours: TikTok World Case Study

Back to Blog

In October 2026 we handled the video and photography for the TikTok World event at Rixos Tersane in Istanbul. MCH Global, based in Dubai, ran the overall organization. In this case study we walk through our approach to corporate event video production and how we delivered the event aftermovie within 24 hours.

Event: TikTok World, Rixos Tersane, Istanbul
Organizer: MCH Global (Dubai)
Crew: 4 people — 2 videographers, 1 photographer, 1 editor
Delivery: Edited photos at wrap · Aftermovie within 24 hours

Before the Event: Briefing and Preparation

When you work with an international agency, half the job is done in the briefing. We held the briefing in English with the MCH Global team and locked down the event flow, the brand zones, the stage programme and a list of must-capture moments. We also agreed the delivery plan up front: photos as soon as the event ends, the aftermovie within 24 hours. [If you did a site visit, add it here.]

Because our team works in English, emails, approvals and revision rounds moved quickly. Working at the pace of a global brand starts with being able to make decisions without waiting for translation.

Shoot Day: How a Four-Person Crew Worked

On site we worked as a four-person crew with clear roles: two videographers roamed the floor and covered everything for the aftermovie — arrivals, brand zones, activations and stage moments; the photographer covered guests, brand zones and interaction moments at the activations; the editor started cutting on site while filming was still under way.

The main headings of our shot list: guests arriving and posing in front of the brand zones, interaction at the activation areas, stage presentations (one clip per speaker), the zones lighting up and the strongest moments saved for the closing.

Post-Production: Managing the 24 Hours

The secret of a 24-hour turnaround is keeping the editor on site. We started selecting and cutting while the event was running, so a rough cut was ready when the doors closed. We built the aftermovie in this sequence: an opening with the brand logo, guests arriving and the brand zones, interaction at the activations, stage clips, and a strong close with the zones lighting up. Colour grading stayed true to the event’s brand world. The photographs were edited and delivered as soon as the event ended.

The Result

The photographs were delivered as soon as the event ended, and the 16:9 aftermovie within 24 hours. [Add where and how the video was used: TikTok channels, agency posts, numbers if you have them. Add a one-sentence quote from the client if available.]

4 Lessons from This Project

  1. Write the delivery plan before the event. A “24-hour aftermovie” decision shapes the whole shooting plan.
  2. Put the editor on site. An edit that starts after the event ends makes a 24-hour delivery impossible.
  3. Build the shot list around the brand. Set separate goals for brand zones, activations and the stage; do not load everything on one camera.
  4. Brief in one language, clearly. With international agencies, an English briefing cuts down revision rounds.
