Taşacak Bu Deniz (international title Deep in Love), the fiery drama that brings the wild nature of the Black Sea, a blood feud between two families and an impossible love to the screen, has become one of the most talked-about Turkish series of the season. For its glamorous premiere, this stormy story travelled from the rugged coast of Trabzon to Istanbul, where The Seed, the elegant event space at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum in Sarıyer, hosted the passionate world of the series for one night. At eventvideom, we immortalized every moment — from the shimmer of the red carpet to the cast’s candid conversations — through our photography and video lenses.
What is Taşacak Bu Deniz (Deep in Love) about?
Produced by OGM Pictures for TRT 1, Taşacak Bu Deniz is set in the harsh landscape of the Black Sea. It tells the story of the endless blood feud between the rival Furtuna and Koçari families, and the great love that blossoms in the middle of that enmity. The passionate struggle between the rebellious, leader-hearted Adil and the resilient Esme unfolds between rugged mountains and a stormy sea, keeping audiences breathless.
Directed by Çağrı Bayrak and written by Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz and Nehir Erdem, the series airs on TRT 1. Filmed across the districts of Trabzon, it carries the authentic texture of the Black Sea region.
The cast: a powerful parade of stars
One of the show’s greatest strengths is its cast, which international fans are searching for by name:
- Ulaş Tuna Astepe — a beloved face of Black Sea dramas thanks to his role as “Tahir” in Sen Anlat Karadeniz, which found a wide international following; here he plays the rebellious Adil Koçari.
- Deniz Baysal — one of the most talked-about leads of the season, bringing the resilient Esme to life.
- Burak Yörük — a warrior-and-healer of the Black Sea in the role of Oruç Furtuna.
- Ava Yaman — the mysterious Greek doctor Eleni, caught between two feuding families and searching for her roots.
- Yeşim Ceren Bozoğlu, Onur Dilber, Burcu Cavrar, Zeynep Atılgan, Hakan Salınmış, Batuhan Bayar and Erdem Şanlı — strengthening the dramatic fabric of the story.
This gathering of experienced actors and rising stars is reason enough to explain why the night drew so much attention.
A Black Sea breeze at The Seed
Set on the shores of the Bosphorus, the evening created a striking contrast between the raw nature of Trabzon and the elegance of Istanbul. As guests posed for the cameras on the red carpet, décor and details drawn from the series’ passionate world gave the night a distinctive atmosphere.
While our team captured these prestigious portraits, we also documented the natural flow of the night — the cast’s laughter, the candid conversations between the director and crew, the moments on stage. The most valuable frames of a premiere often come in the most unexpected seconds, and capturing them takes being in the right place at the right moment.
The night, captured by eventvideom
For the Taşacak Bu Deniz premiere, eventvideom provided end-to-end event photography, event video and video production. With our experienced crew and multi-camera setup, we captured the red carpet and VIP portraits at press and social-media quality, produced a cinematic aftermovie, documented the speeches and stage moments, and delivered selected frames the same night.
Documenting the launch of a story as powerful as Deep in Love was a genuine source of pride for us.
